The game-changer! In my quest to cut out refined sugars from my diet and make more healthy baked goods, i will be using date paste in place of everything sugar. In fact, i will be using date paste in EVERYTHING! I used it to make a chocolate marinara sauce and it was jaw-dropping-fingerlicking-good. Make a batch or 2 or 3 of this and store in your fridge, and you would be glad you did.
Makes 1 (12 oz jar)
Pitted Dried Dates – 200g
Water – ¾ Cup
- Soak dates in water for about 12 hours
- Blend into a paste using a food processor of a really powerful blender
- Store in a jar or airtight container in the refrigerator
